English verbs

While I’m not the biggest fan of old-fashioned rote memorization, getting familiar with these verbs can really pay off. The better you know them, the easier it becomes to build sentences: both in the present and the past. Verbs are the building blocks of any language, so it’s definitely worth spending a bit of time learning how they work. To make things easier, I’ve grouped the verbs by level:

  • Beginner (A1-A2): the most commonly used, must-know verbs
  • Intermediate (B1-B2): verbs you’ll start seeing more in conversations, reading and writing
  • Advanced (C1-C2): great for fine-tuning your fluency and expressing more nuance.

I’ll also be adding interactive quizzes soon to help you practise and reinforce what you’ve learned. So stay tuned and keep an eye on this page!
